another gossip girl post?

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have no real excuses this time, except that I'm lazy. I know what you all are thinking, She's posting about Gossip Girl again!? Yes, and I'm not at all sorry. Gossip Girl is now officially my favorite show, and Blair Waldorf is my new idol. What I love most about Blair from Gossip Girl is her style. It's perfection. So in honor of the season finale of Gossip Girl, I will be celebrating the style of Ms. Blair Waldorf.

SMASHION 17

Hello, hello. I'm so sorry I haven't updated since I've come back from Boston. I've been really busy with school lately, but I figured I should have at least post once before my birthday. Tommorrow I'm turning 17! And I promise that as soon as I'm done with all my SAT, APs, and Regents, I will show more love to my readers. Wish me a happy birthday!

I'm going to Boston!

Hey guys, I'm going to Boston for a few days for spring break. I'm going to look at some colleges there and explore the city. I'll probably post the day I get back. Also, I'm probably going to have more frequent posts now that school is beggining to come to an end. Have a good week kids and please comment on the post below!

GOSSIP GIRLS

I was so happy when I got my NYLON magazine in the mail and saw the face of Leighton Meester staring back at me. I love her and it's about time she gets the recognition she deserves. Blake Lively was also feautured in the issue, but in my opinion I think she's overatd. I've never seen Leighton on a magazine cover before and I knew that NYLON would probably be the first magazine to feauture her. It's a great article on the girls, check it out.

A Tribute to LiLo

Lindsay Lohan isn't exactly one of my favorite people, but you have to admit- the girl's got style. And I haven't heard much of Lindsay lately, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I miss her, and I'm sure the tabloids do too. Anyways, this super post is a tribute to Lindsay. Here are some of her greatest street style hits. Enjoy kids!

ICEBERG: the coolest outerwear

Probably the most unique jackets I've ever seen belong to a fairly new line called Iceberg, which showed its fall 2008 ready to wear line in Milan. Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein was inspiration for the comic-strip print that first emerged as the lining of a jacket hood, then as a part of a brilliant blue patchworked sheath, and ultimately on coats edged in fur. There were many cartoonish superhero elements throughout the line. One model wore a black hood complete with Catwoman feline ears.

"In the mix were some more approachable and seasonally on-message sweater dresses. That was a good thing. Much as we'd all like to be able to leap across buildings in a single bound—and do it in stilettos, why not?—it's not clear how many of these pieces will fit into a real-life wardrobe." - Nicole Phelps

Off the runway: Irina Lazareanu

One of my favorite models of today is Canadian model, Irina Lazareunu. Lazareanu is recognized for her original, vintage-inspired style, which has possibly added to the rise of her career as a model. When asked about her personal style, Lazareanu says: “I’m very influenced by the whole 1960s- 1970s London era, not only in terms of my clothes but also in terms of the music I listen to, the movies I watch, the writers I read. Those influences probably translate into my personal style in an unconscious way.”
